Vegan besan ladoo


Diwali is right around the corner! And what better way than to celebrate with these guilt free ladoos?

You'll need:

2 cups besan (chickpea flour)

1/2 cup Live Yum vegan ghee

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp cardamom powder

1/4 cup crushed almonds

 

Method:

⁃ Heat the ghee in a non stick pan, once warm add the besan. Roast on medium flame continuously stirring for about 10 to 12 minutes. Don’t leave it unattended. ⁃ Shift to a plate and let it cool to room temperature. Then mix in the remaining ingredients.

⁃ Take a small portion - about a tbsp in your palms and roll into beautiful balls.

⁃ Garnish with slivered almonds or for extra fun, roll them in powdered sugar and decorate with saffron and pistachio.
